L.N.E.R. exchange sidings with the S.H.L.R. at Warthill in 1927

The S.H.L.R. depot at Warthill was quite extensive. A loading stage was built and several sidings, with the run-around loop for the loco being just behind the Station Master's house. The S.H.L.R. rolling stock is on the left and on the ramp.

The top level wagons have bricks from Claxton and the lower wagons have been loaded with coal

The transshipment gantry built over the raised S.H.L.R. line at Warthill, installed by the LNER in July 1927.
