BIBLIOGRAPHYMany sources have been used to compile this history. Copyright belongs to the original authors and their permission has NOT been obtained to use any of their work. A lot of my research was done in the 1980's when I didn't understand how to record what I had found. Where known, acknowledgement of the origins of photos and information has been given on the relevant page but as said above the Group must assume for the most part that they do not have permission to use any item contained here and that it may be contravening Copyright Laws simply by having them on this laptop. The only exceptions to this are:- 1) I and other Group members have provided some photos - in doing so I pass ownership of my images to the Group. 2) At the Book Launch event a number of photographs were provided by the web site www.disused-railways.org.uk for specific use at this event. I'm sure that if asked again they would grant permission for their use again if required.. 3) The following is taken from a website hosted on a BT server which BT have since closed down - It is not known if the site has been or will be re-hosted but my searches have not found it yet (August 2015) The Railway that isn’t There
- talk by Ron Evers with 109 photos some period and
others around 1970. Ron Evers
born in 1912 spent most of his years in Yorkshire where he used his photographic
hobby to further his interest in many local topics. He prepared many slide talks
and regularly toured local societies entertaining and enthralling audiences with
his unusual combination of photographic skill, local knowledge and wit. He died
in 1993 leaving his talks unpublished. This website is dedicated to the task of
publishing this work by his daughters, Charlotte Evers and Rosemary Hoppitt in
the hope that his work can still be enjoyed by many even after his death. The
talks were based upon his lifelong interests and most were completed in the 1970's
after his retirement. R osemary Hoppit was contacted via this website and agreed for the Warthill station photograph to be used in the Book and indicated that Ron's other photos would be available for the Group's use in the Book if required.. |
