CHRISTMAS FAIR - Saturday 14th December 10.00am-12.30pm - Holy Trinity Church and Friends will be holding their annual Christmas fair at Stockton Hall Hospital (in the front admin block). Come and Join us for stalls, games, cakes, children's activities and refreshments. 


CHRISTINGLE - Sunday 1st December 2019 10.30 am at Holy Trinity Church, Stockton. Come and join us for this interactive family service celebrating the start of the Christmas season. All in aid of the Children's Society.


Saturday 30th November 2019 - CYC Strensall Ward Meeting at Strensall Village Hall 10am - 12noon. This meeting thefocus will be 'Caring for the elderly'. Everyone from Stockton and Hopgrove is welcome to attend.


Foresters Drama Group presents a Comedy Triple Bill - Last Tango in Stockton (by David Tristram), Bang You're Dead (by Paul Reakes) and Last Panto in Stockton (by David Tristram). At the Village Hall on Thursday 28th, Friday 29th and Saturday 30th November all performances 7.30pm. Tickets are £8.50 from the Village Stores or tel: 400583. NEW - POP UP YORK Cinema comes to Stockton on the Forest Village Hall on Saturday 2nd November 2019. Children's film The Lion King at 1pm only £4 music + crafting. Then Forrest Gump at 6pm with Music and quiz, only £6. See Facebook or local noticeboards for more details.


Parish Council - Next meeting Wednesday 30th October 2019 - 7.30pm in the Long Room of the Village Hall.

Friday 18th October 2019 - Holy Trinity Church Present 'A Skill to Kill' Murder Mystery Dinner Party at the Village Hall 7.15 for a prompt 7.30pm start. Tickets £10 to include a 3 course meal. From Arnie tel:400364, John tel:400182, Bobby tel:400188 or the Village Stores.


Wonderful display of all things fruit, vegetable, flower and handicraft on display at the Festival of Gardening on 21st September. Well done to the organisers and everyone who attended and took part in the competitions. 


A fantastic morning celebrating Yorkshire Day on 1st August at the village hall for the BBC Radio York Cake and A Cuppa event. we estimate over 150 people came, the room was buzzing. lots of cakes, lots of tea and lots of chat. A visit from Anna Wallace from Radio York made the day. A small donation box was put out and raised £110 for BBC Children in Need. Thanks to everyone who helped organise and run the event.


Friday 5th July - Fundraising Tea Party at Stockton on the Forest Primary School 2-4pm. Join us in our cafe for tea and cakes and then enjoy games and stalls run by the children. Raising money to replace the outdoor play equipment which had to be removed earlier this year. Everyone welcome. Raffle and Tombola.


1st July 2019 - CONGRATULATIONS to Stockton resident Andy Bates who today completed his sponsored challenge, cycling 300 miles from Penrith to Milton Keynes for Pancreatic Cancer UK (from 28th June to 1st July). This was in memory of his dear friend Steve Price who passed away from this dreadful disease in 2017 aged just 53 having been diagnosed just 2 weeks before. Saturday 29th June, 7.30pm - mass gathering of musicians in Generation Groove Concert Band + the Haxby based choir Community Chorus + the school choir from Stockton Primary School. All proceeds to Keep Your Pet who help elderly or vulnerable people with health or family crisis issues. Saturday 13th March - Easter Family Activity Morning - Holy Trinity Church 10.00am-12.00noon. Stalls refreshments, games, children's activities and Easter trail everyone welcome all ages.

Please note the next Parish Council meeting is a week early on 20th February 2019 7.30pm at the village Hall.


Welcome to 2019 - there are no special events to report at the moment but all the village groups and societies are back to their regular meetings at the Village Hall and you can pop into Holy Trinity Church at the weekly parents coffee and croissants (every Monday morning) or the monthly coffee mornings (second Saturday) and the new silver service events for the retired members of our community.
