1ST STOCKTON ON THE FOREST BROWNIES

Brownies do cool stuff.....

What are brownies?

Brownies is a section of Girlguiding aimed at girls aged 7 to 10.

Girlguiding is the leading charity for girls and young women in the UK. We build girls’ confidence and raise their aspirations. We give them the chance to discover their full potential and encourage them to be a powerful force for good. We give them a space to have fun.

What do 1st Stockton on the Forest Brownies do?

Through regular meetings, games, special events and trips we learn about team work, try new crafts and skills, cook, sing songs, act, explore other cultures and do exciting things outdoors. We also expand our knowledge by working towards Brownie Interest Badges and try to do a good turn every day.  Most of all we have lots and lots of FUN!

Read our latest village newsletter entry here to find out what we have been up to recently and what else we have planned.

Joining 1st Stockton on the Forest Brownies

We are pretty full at the moment but have a waiting list in place.  If you have a child who is coming up to 7, or is between 7 and 10 and new to the area please register your interest at:

 https://enquiryym.girlguiding.org.uk/

If you are moving to the area from another brownie pack please ask your current leader to refer you.

For safeguarding reasons we do not advertise the meeting time or place on-line.  Once you register your interest in brownies a leader will get in touch to discuss meeting arrangements and current availability of places.

How can I help?

Girlguiding isn't just for girls. More than 80,000 amazing volunteers contribute over ten million hours to guiding every year. In return, Girlguiding offers training and the opportunity to develop new skills.

Here at 1st Stockton on the Forest brownies we have a rapidly growing pack and would welcome enquiries from anyone interested in joining our friendly and supportive leadership team either permanently or on a temporary basis.  We would also appreciate additional support in the form of administrative tasks, book keeping or provision of occasional activity sessions.  Please note all volunteers must comply with Girlguiding’s safeguarding policies.
