About our hall

The village hall is run by a volunteer Management Committee under the terms of the Constitution which is to provide and maintain facilities for the benefit of the residents of the Parish and local community.

A large screen and projector available for all hirers to use with computers or for TV viewing via our Freeview box in the Long Room. Also new additional toilet facilities next to the Long Room.

What's on Weekly at the Village Hall

Meetings:

Committee meeting are usually the third Monday of the month. NEXT Village Hall Committee meeting Monday 22nd April 2024, 7.30pm.

Events:

Monday 17th May 2021 - we formally said Goodbye and Thank You to Jill and Denby Hawkins who retired from the village hall committee after many decades of involvement with the village hall and its societies. They stepped down from their current roles as Bookings Secretary and Chairman & Clerk of Works in March.

New Celebration Packages

Have you got a big celebration event coming up? wedding, christening, special anniversary party? We offer a special two and a half day package, all day Friday for setting up and decorating, all day Saturday for your special occasion and then Sunday morning until noon to clear everything away for only £350!!

And don't forget our fantastic Children's Party Deal - only £55 for 2 hours!

(Please note unfortunately Village hall policy does not allow us to take bookings for teenage parties or 18th and 21st. If you wish to celebrate a birthday age 13 to 21years please look for a different venue rather than be disappointed - Sorry.)

Defibrillator Training 21st September 2015

It was great to see so many people at this training session. A huge thank you to Tom Render from Yorkshire Ambulance Service for the briefing. Should you ever need to use the CPAD (community public access defibrillator) dial 999 and ask for an ambulance and the code.

Village Hall - News and Events

On 4th December 2014 - YORK LIGHT Orchestra performed a Festive Encore Concert to a packed village hall. The event really helped to get everyone into the Christmas Spirit and raised some funds to go towards the new cooker and re-decoration of the Long Room.
